Day 18 Does God really have a purpose for me?

What a beautiful place this ranch is. The cardinals, finches are all out and praising your name. The weekend trip got me a little off schedule, but here we go to get back in it.

Day 18
Readings of Psalms 18, 48, 78, 108, 138
What a beautiful place this ranch is. The cardinals, finches are all out and praising your name. I hope that my soul would be so turned to you that my voice would praise you daily.
This is a long psalm, 50 verses.
25 To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
to the blameless you show yourself blameless,
26 to the pure you show yourself pure,
but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd.
27 You save the humble
but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.
28 You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.
He is constantly portrayed by the psalmists as a deliverer whose character does not change, who made the heavens and get cares about the hairs on our head. He is patient, gentle and get powerful and strong. This psalm says that God was angry, I never want to be his target of anger.
Psalm 138 - 3 When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted.
I don’t remember ever hearing the word, “stouthearted” but I love it. Most men would love to have boldness and a stoutheart.
But my favorite verse of the day comes at the end of 138, “ 8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands.
Its great to know that God has a purpose for me and that He will fulfill it completely. There is no space for him to forget or set aside His plan. God will complete the work He started in you.
Proverbs 18 - 12 Pride first, then the crash, but humility is precursor to honor. (NIV) 13 Answering before listening is both stupid and rude. (The Message)
So much to think about. Lord, make me strong hearted for my family and ministry need it. I need it. I need you to be my strong tower. Move me to humility, move me to understand before seeking to be understood.
